Using a payment terminal with the PayXpress solution offers a multitude of benefits, including:

Omnichannel: PayXpert offers an omnichannel solution that allows merchants to accept payments across different sales channels, including in-store, online, on mobile applications and by phone. This consistent approach ensures a seamless payment experience for customers, regardless of the channel used.

Wide range of payment methods: Payment terminals with the PayXpress solution support a variety of payment methods, including credit and debit cards, mobile payments, e-wallets, contactless payments. This allows merchants to meet their customers’ payment preferences and expand their potential customer base.

One of PayXpress’ strengths lies in its ability to seamlessly and efficiently integrate new payment methods. Indeed, adding a new payment method does not require any physical intervention from merchants. Instead, it is done remotely by the PayXpert Support team, which uses the centralized platform to synchronize this new feature across all terminals in the fleet. This synchronized approach ensures a fast and consistent update, allowing merchants to stay at the forefront of payment trends, without compromising the quality or security of transactions.

Transaction security: Transaction security is a top priority for PayXpert. Our payment terminals integrate advanced security features, such as data encryption, compliance with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), thus ensuring the protection of sensitive customer data and transaction security.

Centralized transaction management: The PayXpress solution offers a centralized management platform (its Backoffice) that allows you to track and manage all your transactions from a single portal. By eliminating the need to go around payment terminals to collect payment remittance tickets, merchants save valuable time and reduce the risk of manual errors. In addition, this centralization of data provides clear visibility into all transactions, facilitating the generation of reports and analysis of sales trends. Ultimately, centralized transaction management improves operational efficiency, allowing you to focus more on your core business while ensuring a smooth and transparent payment experience for your customers.

Flexibility and scalability: PayXpress payment terminals are designed to be flexible and scalable, meaning they can adapt to changing business needs. With its FRV6 certification on its Android terminals, this solution allows French merchants to raise the threshold for contactless payments (thanks to the PIN Online authentication method) but also to reduce your carbon footprint by offering ticket dematerialization services. PayXpert was the pioneer of the PIN Online functionality in France and has the largest network of electronic payment terminals deployed there using the FRV6 standard, with more than 9,000 POS terminals deployed.

Dedicated customer support: PayXpert offers dedicated customer support to help you configure and use your payment terminals, as well as to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding electronic payments. This ongoing support provides our merchants with professional and responsive assistance when needed.

Bank reconciliation: PayXpert payment solutions offer bank reconciliation features, allowing you to easily reconcile your transactions with your bank statements. This simplifies the accounting process and allows our merchants to accurately track their cash flow.

An Android POS: Payment terminals with the PayXpress solution run on an Android platform, offering you a range of significant benefits. Thanks to its flexibility and versatility, you can customize your terminal by installing a variety of additional applications and software, thus meeting your specific needs. The intuitive user interface simplifies the user experience for both your employees and your customers, while regular updates of the operating system and applications guarantees enhanced security and optimal performance.

In summary, using a payment terminal with the PayXpress solution offers you a complete, secure and versatile solution to accept payments, while ensuring a smooth payment experience for your customers. With a range of advanced features and dedicated customer support, PayXpert solutions allow our merchants to efficiently manage their transactions and grow their business with confidence.

Multi-bank / Multi-Acquirer

The PayXpress solution offers a variety of payment terminals compatible with traditional cards such as CB, Visa and Mastercard, and with different acquirers, including Société Générale, BNP Paribas, and La Banque Postale/Ezyness.

Certified FRV6 on the French market, PayXpress also offers the flexibility to connect the payment terminal to the bank of your choice.

In addition, thanks to its PayXpert Spain payment institution license, it allows the acquisition of alternative payment methods such as WeChat Pay and Alipay.

Thus, each of our merchants benefit from total freedom in the choice of their banks and acquirers for each of their managed sites, offering remarkable flexibility and adaptability to your specific payment needs.

Android payment terminal range

Currently, PayXpert collaborates with several maintainers (fleet managers), including JDC and EXM, as part of its activities. This collaboration aims to guarantee efficient maintenance and optimal management of payment terminal fleets as well as the distribution of our solution to merchants.

Regarding hardware solutions, PayXpress offers a varied range of applications for terminals from different manufacturers.

  • Castles Technology LTD: the proposed terminal, namely the Saturn S1F2, for merchants wishing to be equipped;

  • Shangai SunMI Technology Co.: SunMi P2PRO and P2E terminals (coming soon) are offered;

  • Ingenico Inc: The adaptation of applications to the AXIUM range of terminals is underway.

The terminals are certified Payment Card Industry PIN Transaction Security Point Of Interaction v6 (PCI PTS POI).

Centralized transaction platform

PayXpert offers a central multi-channel and multi-store platform dedicated to transaction management. The Backoffice, integrated fully with our payment gateway, offers a multitude of features allowing merchants to efficiently manage their financial operations and their commercial activity.

Multi-store settings

Thanks to this feature, merchants can open several merchant sites/stores if they wish, under the same account. This flexibility allows merchants to manage several aspects of their activity separately, without interfering with each other.

Remote activation of payment methods

The addition/deployment of a new payment method does not require any physical intervention but is carried out remotely via the centralized platform. This operation can be carried out in a synchronized manner on all terminals in your fleet, thus offering a homogeneous and fluid experience for you and your customers.

The activation of new payment methods is only carried out by PayXpert teams in order to prevent any errors/issues on the part of the merchant or the maintainer.

Dashboard and Reporting

PayXpert has developed a sophisticated Business Intelligence tool to provide users with consolidated views of the activity of their businesses. This dashboard provides access to detailed statistics on overall turnover, activity, conversion rates, and much more, thus offering merchants a clear and in-depth vision of their commercial performance.

When you connects to this portal, you have a synthetic view of your activity (distribution of customers by country, by day, evolution of the volume of transactions).

More info on these Backoffice areas can be found in the Backoffice Merchant Guide.

Transaction History

The platform allows merchants to consult the history of their transactions, regardless of the payment method used. Thanks to an omnichannel and multi-store view, merchants can access this data in a centralized and secure manner. It should be noted that card numbers are never displayed in clear text in these records, being systematically tokenized to guarantee the security of transactions.

Integration with the PayXpress solution

When a consumer checks out, the amount to be paid by credit card is usually displayed without error and automatically on the payment terminal. For this to work, the cash register devices and the payment terminal must understand each other and be integrated.

PayXpert offers two integration modes with its PayXpress solution, thus initiating a payment efficiently. These integration modes are designed to simplify the process and offer a seamless experience to merchants and their customers.

It is important to note that all the APIs offered by these two integration modes work locally. This means that the PayXpress solution must be connected to the same local network as the external system/cash register. It is therefore essential that this local network has a stable Internet connection to ensure the proper functioning of the system.

Integration with the Caisse AP / Concert protocol

PayXpress is fully compatible with the Caisse AP protocol, recommended in France by the Association du Paiement (AP) to facilitate communication between cash registers and the PayXpress application. This protocol, also known as the Concert protocol, is supported by PayXpress in its version 3.2. For more technical information on this integration mode, please refer to Cash register integration.

App to App Integration - Android Intent

Another integration option offered by PayXpert is the App to App integration via Android Intent. This approach has the major advantage of allowing the point of sale or external system to integrate directly with the payment terminal. This functionality opens up new possibilities of use, including the transformation of the payment terminal into a full-fledged point of sale. Merchants can thus use the terminal to take orders at the table, in food trucks, or during street sales, among others, while ensuring a simple and efficient cashing process.

However, it should be noted that the Android application of the external system must be approved by the manufacturer of the payment terminal. For more technical information on this integration mode, please refer to App to app - Integration.
